A luxuriant Italian dessert that is loved by kids and adults alike.

The Tiramisu is a humble dessert that doesn't require any baking or complicated steps, but is known and loved throughout the world!
The Ingredients
Sourcing good quality ingredients for a tiramisu is the most important part of this recipe. Using something like whipped cream or cream cheese instead of a good Mascarpone is something that is unimaginably painful to the advocates of classic Italian cuisine. The sponge Biscotti is essential to a great Tiramisu.
The Recipe:
Ingredients
250gm Mascarpone
4 eggs
150gm Castor Sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
200ml of espresso or really strong coffee
1 packet of half and half sponge fingers / lady's finger biscotti
Method
Separate your eggs into two large bowls. Cream together the yolks with 3/4th of the sugar for a good 3 minutes till it becomes pale and light. Whisk in the Mascarpone and add milk if needed.
Whip up your egg whites with a pinch of salt till they reach quire stiff peaks. Whisk in a fourth of the whites into the yolks vigorously. Gently fold the rest of the whites into the mixture.
In a large bowl add in the espresso and sweeten with the rest of the sugar. In order to assemble the perfect Tiramisu, layer the cream and biscotti alternately. Dip the biscotti into the coffee for not more than 2 seconds per biscuit to maintain a certain level of bite in the biscuit.
Assemble the Tiramisu and set for at least 6 hours in the fridge. Enjoy the amazing dessert!
